Though wood has seemingly always been in plentiful supply in the NW alternatives to reduce the waste material of lumber mills has been an ongoing quest. Bio-fuels developed from 100% Douglas fir sawdust compressed under immense pressure are the natural solution. With only 8-10% moisture content, Bio-fuel logs burn at nearly 100% combustion and are safe for use in any wood burning appliance. As an example, emissions from a Tulikivi are 10 times cleaner than a catalytic wood stove using dry cord wood - even cleaner with Bio-fuel logs because of the low consistent moisture content.
